As part of Manchester Airport’s extensive Terminal 2 renovations, DL M&E was engaged by Gariff to provide the mechanical, electrical and plumbing fit out for renowned jewellery retailer Pandora. In line with Pandora’s high expectations for an exquisite presentation of their stores, DL M&E delivered to schedule a high-quality MEP installation that reflects Pandora’s and DL's own exacting standards. We are delighted with the finished result of this stunning looking Pandora store fit out.

The scope of works provided by DL M&E include:

Electrical

  • Installation of Pandora specified lighting & circuitry via last man out switch    
  • Installation of Pandora specified Emergency lighting & circuitry via emergency key switches for test purposes.
  • Install of new power circuitry and accessories in-line with the Pandora specification.
  • Provide & install distribution equipment and contactor control panel along with AFFD protection meeting the MAG retail handbook requirements.
  • Installation of speaker system linked to in-store amplifier
  • Installation of door access system linked to fire alarm controls
  • Installation of data network connected to MAG provided fibre
  • Test & certify the electrical installation in accordance with current regulations

Both new primary & secondary containment systems have been installed. Unistrut bracketry has been used to support the primary containment hung from the buildings structure via wedge anchors & galvanised rod.

Distribution is handled through the existing 100A TP&N isolator and metering provided by the landlord and used to connect onto the new Pandora distribution system consisting of a Schneider Acti9 4+8 way split lighting & power DB.

New LED Lighting has been installed within the new ceiling as per the specification and design. This consists of track lighting, downlights, LED strip lighting within coves & niches, 600x600 panel lighting in BOH areas.

New small power circuits have been installed throughout scope areas as per the specification and the design.

The fire alarm system has been upgraded in line with BS 5839 to suit the new layout.

The existing landlord loop has been extended with new detection and sounder circuits added.

New CAT 6 cable have been installed throughout the store, RJ45 Terminations in the field.

Mechanical

Ventilation
  • New Fire Rated ductwork connected onto existing landlord Supply
  • New Fire Rated ductwork connected onto existing landlord Extract
  • New linear supply grills fitted throughout shop floor
  • New linear extract grills fitted throughout shop floor
  • New extract grill fitted in stockroom
  • New fan coil units across shop floor

We have installed additional extract air duct to serve the store. This has been taken from the existing landlord extract system. New supply ductwork has been installed and connected to the landlords existing supply. Ductwork has been extended across the store and used to supply new AHUs and subsequently onto grills in the ceiling.

Plumbing

  • New CWBS & LTHW pipework connected to existing supplies feeding fan coil units.
  • New condensate pumps connected to existing landlord waste stack.

New copper pipework installed with clamps, mounted from the ceiling and connected into the existing landlords CWBS & LTHW system. Pipework used to supply fan coil units for heating and cooling to supply ductwork.

Condensate Pumps installed in vicinity of fan coil units have condensate pipes installed and running to existing landlord waste stack.
