The project requires the removal of the LTHW and chilled water coils from the Air Handling Units (AHU’s) serving fresh air to the ancillary areas of the data centre and replace them with DX-type coils. All drained and redundant pipework to be labelled as redundant.
The project’s scope is to isolate and disconnect the existing 3No. boilers from the incoming gas and the LPHW water systems. The boilers are then to be removed from site.
The strip out and removal from the site includes the LPHW and chilled water coils within the AHU’s serving the ancillary areas of the data centre.
The installation requires new DX heating and cooling coils to the AHU’s serving the office and ancillary areas within the Data centre, and the data hall. All existing frost, heating and cooling coils to be replaced with new DX coils.
New VRF heating and cooling DX systems are to be installed into other areas of the building. A new fresh air connection is to be taken from AHU 25 to serve a canteen. AHU’s 26 and 30 are to be decommissioned, stripped out and removed from site. Removal of redundant plant and equipment and associated materials and waste is to be done with necessary craneage, managing the access and lifting equipment for removal of existing as required, disposed to environmental standards.
The contractor is responsible for providing design drawings, design of operation, tank drawings, schematic diagrams and accompanying calculations with necessary supporting information for this work in accordance with Nationwide Standards. The design to completed works on this project will result in highly effective decarbonisation.
