What a fantastic day the DL M&E team had raising money for women and children affected by domestic abuse and violence and making a dramatic hike of Scafell Pike, Englands highest mountain (978m or 3209 ft) – and to top it off, it was during the glorious weather we had a week ago.
IG thanks to all those that showed care and generously donated for Fortalice, raising £500 for our team to complete the challenge. Thanks also to those that made the trek, including our MD Ben Milner, Andy Ward (Account Director), Gareth Corfield (Quantity Surveyor), Sam Griffin (CAD & BIM), Paul Stanier (Marketing / Social Value) and friend Steve Howell (Doctor!).
Last year DL M&E walked the local Bolton fells for Fortalice Ltd, so this year the team went considerably more steps to do the harder 15km Corridor circular route from Seathwaite, near Keswick, taking in spectacular scenery on a glorious day. Thankfully it wasn’t a stormy white out! It’s a highly recommended route for anyone adventurous enough to try it.
Fortalice Ltd is a Bolton based front line charity that provides safe refuge accommodation and training together with individual and group support. It also provides wider awareness on the devastating effects domestic has on lives and families.
More DL M&E challenges to come this year supporting the causes we care about, raising awareness and giving back to community.
