DL M&E were contracted to completely refurbish the mechanical and electrical systems within the main hospitality suites.
Project Profile – The Etihad Stadium
Working in close alliance with a main contractor, the team at DL M&E Building Services was awarded the contract to completely refurbish the mechanical and electrical systems within the main hospitality suites throughout the Etihad Stadium, following a two-stage design and development tender.
The Connell Club provides a premium space and fine dining for 220 guests. The lighting design was developed by DL M&E Building Services, in accordance with the visual concepts provided by the club.
The Mancunian and Citizen Suites were completely redesigned into open and modern spaces. The scope of works within all suites included upgrades and additions to the fire alarm, public address system, CCTV and intruder alarm, along with state-of-theart audio-visual equipment, all linked into the stadium’s existing, central control network.
Featuring bespoke, handmade light fittings, cold cathode and LED lighting, controlled by an efficient and intelligent DALI interface, the suites provide premium space for supporters.
In order to manage the internal environment throughout all suites, we undertook an upgrade to the air-conditioning and ventilation systems which have also been integrated to the existing BMS system. Manchester City Football Club has a commitment to the local community and businesses. All materials and manufacturing for the project was, where possible, sourced from within a 30-mile radius of the stadium.
This scheme required accurate co-ordination and collaboration with several stakeholders, including facility managers, security, catering, and hospitality, along with other trades.
