Project Profile – LDC Birmingham

LDC is the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, founded in 1981. LDC work from a regional network of offices, ensuring the business is close to the management teams it invests in. DL M&E Building Services were requested to undertake the design and build of a new corporate LDC office space in the heart of Birmingham, as part of our ongoing relationship as a framework partner.

The client acquired the vacant office space which required full new M&E services throughout the premises. DL M&E undertook the full mechanical and electrical design to RIBA stage 4, developed with the client’s specification. New air conditioning and ventilation systems were installed providing a comfortable working environment for the staff, and the LDC clientele. New domestic services were installed, serving the newly installed tea point area.

A new LED lighting scheme throughout the office space was developed and installed, in line with client requirements and regulations. The office spaces were fitted with Linear LED luminaires, which were positioned directly above the meeting room tables. New distribution boards were fitted, along with new power throughout. A new fire alarm system was also installed and commissioned, which was interfaced to the existing landlord’s system.
