At DL M&E Building Services, we are a leading M&E contractor delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical services across a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, banking, healthcare, and education. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a proactive and driven Junior Quantity Surveyor preferably with an M&E bias but not essential to join our dynamic commercial team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior QS looking to build a long-term career within the M&E sector. You'll support the commercial team in managing costs, contracts, and valuations for a variety of projects. Working alongside experienced QSs and project managers, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience and ongoing training.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost plans
- Support the procurement process and subcontractor management
- Help with valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Ensure accurate cost reporting and forecasting
- Assist in contract administration and compliance with contract conditions
Requirements
- HND/Degree (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Strong interest in the Mechanical & Electrical sector
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Good communication and organisational abilities
- A willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment
- Some site or construction experience (placement or apprenticeship) is desirable
