Derian House cares for children and young people across the North West who are diagnosed with a life threatening or a life limiting illness or condition. They provide support to families across Lancashire, South Cumbria and Greater Manchester and offer palliative care, respite and end of life support, totally free of charge. The Hospice has some of the best facilities in the country, but costs £5.7 million to run every year, with only 17% of that funded by the government.
