In the industrial area of Trinity Quay Bristol, the RBS building is a seven-floor office in need of mechanical and electrical refurbishment throughout
The ten chillers located on the roof needed replacing and the corresponding electrical supply and controls required a full refresh.
Due to the size of the plant and the height of the building, a crane was utilised to remove and replace the old chillers. The major works were performed over a weekend to reduce the environmental impact on the surrounding area.
Working through the challenges of this project gave our operatives a great opportunity to demonstrate their skills, navigating the delicate removal and reinstallation of large plant whilst ensuring the health and safety of their co-workers.
The chillers and their associated electrical and mechanical furnishings were installed at the high quality that is expected of DL M&E and the cooling system at Bristol Trinity Quay is now up and running.
